This weekend was by far one of the best yet. Though, the title of this post would beg to differ. The weather is starting to cool down, Football is on, and the live local bands are getting back into the swing of things at my local favorite bars.
We finally moved back home from my parents place after Shandy’s Surgery. It was nice to be back with all of our things and our own bed.
Shandy missed the view (she caught me taking a picture and disapproved)
The Weekend began with a Funky Display of pure talent at Stan and Joe’s. Duns and Drummers turned the heartbeat of Annapolis into the organic happiness that only one dreams of.
We went on a gentle walk to the grassy area near my condo and showed off her pretty flower that Momo got her.
Saturday there was a surprise package delivered. A magnet with Shandy’s doppelganger on the front and a saying that only Frenchie owners will understand “Somebody Farted”
Sunday is always one of my favorite days of the week, especially in the Fall. Redskins played at 1pm and brought it!! They executed the Rams and ended the game with a Huge W. HTTR! After festivities of this win, I journeyed back home to cuddle with my love bug Shandy. She was so happy for me to spend the rest of the day with her.
With the Ravens game on, and a fluffy crab toy in my hand, I began to play with Shandy. She was crazy excited. Like the kind of crazy where her ears go back and you simply prepare for the explosion of energy. If I learned anything this weekend its Don’t watch Football and play tug-o-war with you puppy at the same time, or you will get headbutted.
I really didn’t know what to think, except owww but Shandy looked at me like “Mommmmm, What are you doing?, Grab the fluffy red crab and try to get it from me” The collision didn’t phase her one bit, as you can see in the pictures below.
Being that I am a tough cookie, I ignored the pain/heartbeat in my lip until I felt it necessary to check my wounds in the mirror. Yep, I looked like I got into a small bar fight. This is just great! I am going to Disney World in 5 days and I have a purple lip.
After icing my lip with a cold beer, I continued my tug o war session with the worlds craziest dog, but this time, I was on guard.
The Aftermath was snuggling. All is well, in the Radtke Household this evening, though my lip is still beating to the tune of a double bass drum in a Godsmack Song.
